![]() ![]() If you play the game, just skip the cut-scenes, they're really not worth it. Towards the beginning, I found myself just skipping cut-scenes and I didn't feel like I missed anything when I watched the later ones. To give some perspective, there is one cut-scene where the girls are discussing how dry their hands are and in need of lotion they are and one of the other girls talks about how she'll talk to her mother about getting her some expensive lotion, etc, a conversation which goes on for a while. Sometimes, it's just 1-2 min of just monologue or other nonsense. The cut-scenes are completely filler lacking in any real substance. This wouldn't be that big of a problem if it weren't for the fact that. There are cut-scenes roughly 1 min long before and after each mission where the mission only takes about 3-5 mins, so there are a lot of cut-scenes compared to the actual game-play.I tried my best to care about their story and development, but I just couldn't get into it even though I'm normally down for stuff like this. This can be especially frustrating when you're trying to make an opening to run through and, by the time your character finally starts running, zombies have already re-spawned and filled in the hole you created. Another is that immediately after you fire your weapon, if you hit the run key, you'll keep walking with your character aiming down their sights for a few seconds until they will put it down and run. For instance, you can run while reloading, but you have to be running first and then reload rather than reload and push run after hitting the reload key, otherwise you'll just walk. ![]() The game-play has some clunky quirks that can make for a frustrating experience.I'm a huge Tamsoft fan - particularly for Hyperdimension Neptunia and Senran Kagura -, but I felt like there were a few parts of the game that made it difficult to enjoy. The game can actually be pretty fun in the beginning and the gimmicks that it has are pretty standard for what you might expect from Tamsoft. This game is one reason I wish Steam had something in-between a "yes" and a "no" for recommendations. ![]()
